Welcome to Transcribr! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Transcribr mobile application and website, https://transcribr.org (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Your Account

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2. Use of the Service

Transcribr provides an innovative platform for generating text transcripts from audio inputs. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You acknowledge and agree to the following limitations and conditions:

• File Limits: Audio file uploads are limited to a maximum size of 100MB and a maximum duration of 1 hour. Only MP3 and MP4 file formats are supported.
• Prohibited Content: You may not upload or transcribe any audio content that is illegal, infringes on the rights of others, or violates any laws.
• Accuracy: The Service is powered by a third-party AI, and while we aim for high accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any transcriptions.

3. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the audio files you upload and the resulting transcripts you create. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your files solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. All other intellectual property rights related to the Service, including software, design, and branding, are owned by Transcribr.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

The Service offers paid features through subscription plans and one-time purchases. All payments are processed by our third-party payment partner, RevenueCat. We are not responsible for any issues related to payment processing. Pricing is subject to change with notice.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TRANSCRIBR EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TRANSCRIBR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms of Use on this page. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
