Free audio converter that never uploads your file
Convert MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG and WebM, pull audio from a video, preserve the codec while compressing, extract a clip, or queue several files. Everything runs in your browser, so source files and results are never uploaded — and long recordings are written straight to disk instead of filling up memory.
Try it now
Convert a file without an account
Pick a file and watch it convert. No signup, no upload, no server — this runs in the tab you are reading.
Your browser cannot do this. Try Chrome, Edge, or Safari 26 and later.
How it works
- 1Choose a file, or try the sample clip.
- 2Pick a format or a compression level, and check the estimated size.
- 3Play the result, then download it. Nothing was uploaded.
Why in the browser?
Most online converters upload your file to a server you know nothing about, queue it, and email you a link. Modern browsers can do the same work locally, which is faster for you, private by construction, and free for us to offer.
Long recordings, not just short clips
Most browser converters build the entire result in memory before you can save it, which is why they fall over on long recordings. Here you choose where the file goes first, and the audio is written to it as it is produced, so the tab never has to hold the whole thing.
